Reading Radio offers Queensland’s only locally produced reading service on radio. The content is designed with people with low or no vision or reading problems in mind, but can be enjoyed by everyone! They have three production team members and two board members who live with blindness or very low vision, which ensures the organisation operates inclusively, meeting the unique needs of many of their listeners.
DYJESBT jointly sponsored the Employer of Choice category with the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services and acting Associate Director-General and the department’s Disability Champion, Steve Koch, presented the award at the ceremony held on Saturday 28 October.
